With Kingsman Field Dog Park construction getting closer and closer, it's time for you to get your pooch ready for the park! Here's what to do:

1. Familiarize yourself with the Department of Parks and Recreation's Rules of Use for Dog Parks

2. Apply for your DC Dog Park Tag. If your dog isn't already licensed with the Department of Health, you will also need to apply for a DC Dog License. As you can see in the above rules, all dogs will need to have a dog park tag in order to use the park. The tag will allow you to take your dog to any of DC's off-leash dog parks.

3. If you and your pooch don't have experience at dog parks, check out the book Visiting the Dog Park: Having Fun, Staying Safe for tips on dog park etiquette.
